Government Accountability & Public Advocacy is my promise to treat public office the way I treat a major construction project: every dollar tracked, every milestone visible, and every stakeholder kept informed. Too many residents in Louisiana have seen tax dollars disappear into distant programs without any clear sign of local benefit.
My approach begins with a simple standard: taxpayers deserve to see what is being built with their money. To meet that standard, I will create a public accountability dashboard for the district. This online tool will show the federal funding I pursue, the projects that receive money, their timelines, and their current status. Residents will be able to look up, in plain language, where a road repair stands, how a broadband expansion is progressing, or how much has been spent on a water or healthcare project.
Government Accountability & Public Advocacy also means being accessible. I will hold regular town halls, publish clear contact information, and respond to concerns about waste, fraud, or mismanagement. When constituents raise issues about how funds are used, I will press agencies for answers and make those responses public whenever possible.
As a contractor, I have managed projects where delays and cost overruns were not just numbers on a page but real headaches for families and businesses. That experience shapes how I will question federal agencies, grant recipients, and contractors using public dollars in the district. Schedules, budgets, and quality standards will not be abstract concepts; they will be expectations with consequences.
Finally, I will use the information gathered through this work to advocate for policy changes in Washington that make programs more transparent, simpler to access, and fairer to rural communities. When people can see clearly how money flows and what it produces, trust can begin to be rebuilt, and residents gain the confidence to stay engaged, speak up, and hold every elected official to account.
