Healthcare & Family Advocacy is my answer to a problem I hear about constantly: families driving hours for basic care, seniors struggling to navigate services, and working parents piecing together childcare just to stay employed. For a district as rural as mine, access to dependable healthcare and family support is not a luxury; it is the foundation of a stable local economy.

This service focuses first on protecting and strengthening rural hospitals and clinics. I will push for federal policies and funding that keep doors open, attract doctors and nurses, and expand telemedicine so that a video visit can replace a long, expensive trip when appropriate. My goal is for residents to know that urgent care, primary care, and maternal care are available within a reasonable distance of home.

Healthcare & Family Advocacy also means standing up for seniors who rely on Medicare, prescription coverage, and home-based services. I will work to simplify access, reduce red tape, and connect seniors with local agencies that can help them understand and use the benefits they have earned.

For working families, I will support programs that combine education, childcare, and job training. When parents can trust that their children are safe in quality childcare or after-school programs, they are more able to enroll in training, take better jobs, and build long-term security. I intend to connect federal resources to local schools, churches, and community groups already serving children and families, turning scattered efforts into a stronger safety net.

I will measure progress in very human terms: fewer closed hospitals, more local clinics operating, shorter drives for prenatal visits, more childcare slots, and better graduation and job-placement rates tied to family support programs. When families feel healthier and less stressed, they are more likely to stay, work, open businesses, and build their futures right here at home.
